What am I?

There is a body that is made of earthly, perishable elements, which in turn sees, hears, smells, feels, and thinks.

Physically, this body is created from virtually nothingness at birth and goes back to nothingness at death.

However, there is this entity in that body that evokes anger, desire, pleasure, pain, hope, and nostalgia from one moment to the next; these experiences have persisted since eons ago and will continue into the future.

Now, what is that entity?

According to the Buddha, this invisible entity is being led to a virtuous continuous cycle of lives and deaths by the karmic path of feelings, thoughts, and acts from one moment to the next.

The issue is that, unless this circle of lives is broken, this entity's karmic path may result in wretched forms of existence within an ephemeral but ongoing cycle of life.

So how do I break that karmic circle of lives?
